About DRA & DualAnon

DRA is a Twelve Step fellowship for people who experience dual disorders of two “No-Fault” illnesses: substance addiction and emotional or psychiatric illness. The DRA Twelve Steps offer a plan for personal recovery from dual recovery. Dual recovery is a process of integrating personal recovery, symptom management, and relapse prevention. In dual recovery, each person is developing skills for personal recovery: to hope, cope, heal, and improve their inner quality of life. Equally important, each person is developing skills to manage the symptoms of two “No-Fault” illnesses together. DRA meetings provide a setting of emotional acceptance, support, and empowerment. In DRA meetings, DRA members and newcomers can focus on recovery issues related to substance addiction and emotional or psychiatric illness. Today, DRA meetings are held in the United States and many countries throughout the world.
